Slug Killer? What can I use?

Not surprising following the press reports on the Government’s final ban on Metaldehyde Slug Pellet usage, there has been some confusion on what you can still use to control slug and snails.

The good news is that there are still a number of options available. The majority of these options are certified organic by the likes of O F & G and the Soil Association and also made in Britain.

With regards to pellets you have the choice of either the Ferric Phosphate based products or Wool based pellets.

• The Ferric Phosphate based products we supply are:-

Doff Slug & Snail Killer. This OF&G Organic accredited product is a small blue pelleted form supplied in either 400g or 800g tub.

Doff Power Up Slug & Snail Killer. This OF&G Organic product is for those that like a stronger product. This is supplied in a 650g container and is more rain fast and 3 times the strength of the standard Doff Slug Pellet.

• Slug Gone Wool Pellets

These are Soil Association Accredited wool pellets. These are supplied in 1ltr, 3.5ltr and 20ltr packs. These pellets form a highly effective barrier against slugs and snails, that also contains naturally occurring slow release nutrients.
